((I'm gonna assume you read Megiddo first, in which case none of these are spoilers :P ))

Lara looks at Cloud and then Riki before shrugging. "Ayn's asleep, and I'll personally maim the bastard who wakes her up. The girl has been through more than any of us." Lara then turns to Riki. "You know when you see a movie, and you fall asleep the last half hour when EVERYTHING was explained? Yeah, this is sort of similliar." Lara sits down as she speaks. "Well, after Ayn killed Gale she found out from Rand he was her older brother. You can imagine how that must of affected a girl who's actually much younger than we all thought. However, Ayn managed to empower Cloud who had broken the Demon's hold on him. Eventually he chased off Rand and here we are. Hayate was fighting Legion before he ran, after that he just disappeared."

It had only been maybe an hour and a half since she wandered to bed; it seems sleep is not going to be coming very easily for her.

Ayn wanders back into the library holding a pillow under her arm and rubbing her eyes; looking very much like a young child who just had a nightmare. "...Good to see all of you."

Lara turns to Ayn and raises an eyebrow. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah.." She walks over to the desk and plops back down, rummaging through the contents of the drawers, looking for anything of interest.

"Alright, if you need anything let someone know." Lara disappears down the hallway and into the kitchen.

Lara comes back, a glass of wine in her hand and a piece of cheese in the other. "I'm not sure where the water is here, we're gonna have to look."

Lara eats her piece of cheese and looks over Ayn's shoulder. "Find something good?"

Cloud wanders over to the piano Gale had been playing before the final fight. He tapped the keys, playing a small tune while keeping his eyes on Ayn and Lara. He finally sighs and gives up playing. "Forget it..." Cloud walks to sit in a shair next to the desk and looks at the book Ayn has.

"Eh.. Right now it's just going on about what a Siren looks li-" She pauses, something seems to have caught her interest. "...Whoa.. Listen to this."

Lara also has a blank look painted on her face. "...So what this is saying is, Gale got Laena pregnant and that's why she got killed?"

"There was no way he could have known. They were only together for a short time, right?" Cloud looks at his hand and points a finger to a candle on the wall. It lights, as do all the others. "Then again I don't know Sirens. I just know that bitch has a lovely singing voice. And a horrid scream..." Cloud looks at Ayn, tightening his glove.

Ayn snarls maliciously, and lunges at Cloud, hitting him square in the face with her fist.

After a few seconds she stumbles backwards, blinking. "Oh God.. I'm sorry, I..."

Cloud sighs after the punch leaves him, his face throbbing sorely. He shakes his head. "It's okay. I'm sorry for upsetting you, Ayn. I didn't mean it." Cloud relaxes in the chair and adjusts his pauldron.

"Ok, don't make me seperate you two. The last thing we need is a fight between friends. So Cloud, stop picking on little girls."

"Whatever you say, grandma." Cloud smirks and stands up and looks down the long corridor. "You wouldn't know where the kitchen is in this place would you, Ayn?" Cloud attempts to lighten the subject as to not cause Ayn any more harm.

"Yeah, it's down the hall to your right." She climbs back on the chair and hugs the pillow again, staring off into space.

Cloud take one look at her before walking down the hall and returning with whine and a glass of water. "Here." He lays the water on the table Ayn is sitting at and downs a gulp of whine. "Are you okay?"

Ayn looks at Cloud, although her stare seems vacant for a few moments. She blinks then shakes her head. "Yeah, I'm fine.. Just tired I guess." She gets up, taking both the book on the Sirens and Gale's diary, then walks out of the library.

Cloud watches her leave and looks over to Lara. "So whats a person like you stayin' in one place for anyways? Shouldn't you be killing someone or something?" Cloud drinks some more whine from the bottle and sighs.

"I suppose not..." Cloud stands and walks around, looking at the books of the library. "So why are you staying here anyways?" He notices something under the desk Ayn was sitting at and picks up a clipboard, showing a list of Jobs he and Gale had done together and one's they had yet to accept. "This thing is pretty old.." He throws it on the desk and sits, looking it over and smiling.

It didn't take long before she found herself in the courtyard. She hadn't wanted to come here as it still hurt too much to be here.. But Ayn really couldn't think of anywhere else to go inside the castle.

She looks down, realizing she was still clinging to the pillow she had brought from Gale's room. Normally she'd scoff at herself for acting like such a child, but now it was different. She never really understood why she felt so young compared to the others, and why she acted so juvenile.. But now it made sense, at least a little. She was a human body with an Abissian mindset. A twenty-eight year old human with the innocence of a five year old.

Ayn plops down on the ground in the middle of the courtyard, all the graves within reach. She looks at each one, vaguely wondering: If she tried to speak to them, would they hear her?

Cloud finishes looking at the board and lays back in the chair. "Not any more. Haven't had a job since Gale went berserk." He stands and grabs his sword from its place against the wall, unsheathing it. "I've felt pretty empty ever since a few days ago..." He lifts the sword to look at the near break in the middle. Annoyed, he sighs. "...Ugh"

Riki chews on her lip and stares at the rows of books. She had half expected Hayate to leave, but not when she was unconcious. She sighs and looks to Lara and Cloud. "So we won, and the world was saved. It seems to be that such a feat would make people more...happy. Parties, parades, metals of honor. I figured if that whole was like a storybook, it'd at least end like one too."

Ayn flops down on her back, staring up at the sky, which was growing dark with rainclouds. She was somewhat surprised, learning what she had wanted to know about Laena had taken next to no time or research at all, and it didn't even require her learning to read Abissian. Still, she would like to learn. There were still many things she wanted to learn about herself and her family.

Family.. That brought up another concern Ayn has. Lara had said something about an older sister, an Onarav. Unfortunately, that's all she knows, nobody could remember her name or had any idea where she might be. Ayn figures she could probably find a family tree, and then search from there. Even though they were complete strangers, Ayn felt she needed to find her; she was the last bit of family she has that she's aware of. All Ayn was concerned about now was finding a name..

Rain begins to fall on her face. She wipes the raindrops out of her eyes but remains there, not really wanting to get up, nor really having the energy to.

Ayn eventually gets up, now soaking wet from the storm, and wanders back inside. She rummages through a few cabinets in a nearby room, looking for a towel. Unable to find any, she heads into the library.

"Anyone know where the towels are..?" She pauses in front of the hallway leading into a bedroom of gold, which was once hidden by a seal. She shrugs and wanders in, still in search of a towel.

Lara shrugs at Ayn's request as Ayn disappears down the hall. "Well, there has to be a bathroom in this place somewhere. It's just a matter of finding it."
